The Health and Air Quality Applied Sciences Team (HAQAST) works to connect NASA satellite data and products with public health experts and air quality managers. Our team of 14 PIs and 70+ total collaborating investigators has grown to support and serve hundreds of organizations across the U.S. and around the world. Our public meetings are opportunities to grow these two-way dialogues in which stakeholders share their research needs and priorities, and scientists share their resources, insights, and new discoveries.

FAQ
Q: Will NASA be providing funding for stakeholder travel?
A: Funds are expected to be available to support stakeholder (non-academic) participants. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. International travel is not eligible for support.
Q: Are there opportunities for me or my organization to present?
A: Speaking spots and poster presentation spots are limited. We do have options for pre-recorded virtual flash talks for both in-person and online attendees. Please register and indicate your interest in speaking or presenting a poster on the registration form.
Q: How long is the meeting?
A: The meeting will be on January 7th and January 8th.
Q: When will an agenda be available?
A: Since we generate the agenda and speakers from the registration list, a final agenda typically isn’t available until a few weeks before the conference. A draft agenda with times and panel topics listed is available above.
Q: I am a NASA participant, do I need to enter this meeting into the NCTS?
Forecasting/tracking this meeting is not required; do not enter this meeting into NCTS (NASA Conference Tracking System). This is a formal operational meeting with attendance by active project participants including PIs, CoIs, grad students and post docs, as well as invited speakers and community members.
Q: I have other questions or accommodations requests.
A: Please reach out to Jenny Bratburd, HAQAST Outreach Manager.
